Q?

My car is under warranty can I use Minit Lube for an Oil Change?

A.

Absolutely, our FRAM oil filters will exceed the warranty requirements for your vehicle and we carry several brands of both Synthetic and Conventional oils to meet the vast range of specs out there.  Always use the correct oil!  35-40% of new cars require Synthetic Oils. Also, your Minit Lube service records are available at any time should you need them.

Q?

How often should I rotate my tires?

A.

For maximum tire life the majority of vehicle manufacturers now recommend a tire rotation be performed with every oil change.  This is why Minit Lube now offers this service at most locations in Calgary and Red Deer.  When we swap your seasonal summer/winter tires we automatically rotate them.

Q?

Can Minit Lube reset my Change Oil Light?

A.

Other than very few instances, YES.  Any North American, Asian and the majority of European vehicles we can reset.  There are a small number of high end European cars, Usually Mercedes, that require a dealer or specialty mechanic visit.  Also, a handful of cars if you have greatly exceeded your oil change interval you will need to visit the dealer.  Most cars have instructions for Oil light reset in the owners manual.

Q?

Can I extend my Oil Change Interval by using Synthetic Oil?

A.

Answer: Sometimes.

Minit Lube recommends you closely review your owners manual and, in Alberta, never exceed the "SEVERE SERVICE" minimum maintenance interval set out by your vehicle manufacturer; regardless of what kind of oil you are using. That said, Synthetic oil resists breakdown due to heat and/or contamination longer than a conventional motor oil and is expected to perform better throughout the Oil Change interval.
